Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Health Care Aide (HCA) at the Wainwright Health Centre in Alberta. The role involves assisting patients with daily living activities, supporting nursing tasks, and contributing to care plans within an interdisciplinary team.

The position is Regular Part Time with orientation to shift patterns including days, evenings and weekends. Initial and ongoing training will be provided; registration with CLHA is required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible for registration or practice permit with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA) as a Health Care Aide.
• Proof of education or completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance and support activities of daily living.
• Assist nurses with routine care and observations of patient mood, health and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to support care plans.
