Job summary

Alberta Health Services is hiring a Health Care Aide to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will support daily living activities and provide care to patients across home, community and facilities, under supervision of health professionals.

The role includes shifts across days, evenings and weekends in Beaverlodge. Casual/Relief employee class, with a remuneration package including a retention allowance and an hourly wage range.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible for registration with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA) as a Health Care Aide.
• Proof of Education or completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance and support activities of daily living to patients.
• Assist nurses with routine care and observe patient mood, health and wellbeing.
• Support care across home, community and facility settings as per the care plan.
• Maintain safe environment and communicate with patients, families and health care professionals.
