You will coordinate logistics, prepare the deceased, arrange transportation and venue setup, oversee documentation and compliance, and lead a team with empathy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Ontario Funeral Director’s Licence – BAO used for continuing education credits.
• Minimum of two years’ experience directing and arranging in a high-volume environment.
• Class G driver’s licence with clean record.
• Demonstrate empathy, patience, and emotional intelligence when supporting grieving families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate funeral services honoring cultural, spiritual, and personal preferences.
• Arrange all aspects of the service, including transportation, preparation of the deceased, scheduling, and venue setup.
• Facilitate pre-need contracts and ensure compliance with legal/regulatory requirements.
• Lead coordination during services and liaise with families and external partners.
• Prepare memorial stationery, guest books, obituaries, and keepsakes reflecting the deceased’s life.
