Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Waverley, Nova Scotia, is seeking a Server to work in our bright and welcoming dining room. You will support with dining room setup, serve meals, and assist with tray service and clean-up to ensure a pleasant resident experience.

Preference will be given to candidates with food service experience with seniors, and a strong customer service mindset. Applicants must be able to lift heavy items; second language is an asset. VPS screening is required on hire.

Qualifications

• Preference given to individuals with food service experience, especially with seniors.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
• Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy items and stand/walk for most of the shift.
• Proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional, courteous manner.
• Set and clear dining tables; deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and maintaining dining/kitchen areas.
• Assist with catering and participate in special events and training of new staff.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and organizational policies.
