Job summary

The Salvation Army in Quebec seeks a full-time housekeeper to maintain a clean, welcoming facility for staff and residents. You will sanitize spaces, prepare rooms for new residents, manage cleaning supplies, and assist with events while upholding safety standards and anti-oppression commitments.

Requirements include Grade 12, First Aid/CPR, experience with vulnerable populations, and a current Vulnerable Sector Check. Rate is set under a collective agreement.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent education.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Experience with housekeeping and vulnerable populations.
• Commitment to anti-racism, anti-oppression and equity.
• Vulnerable Sector Check completed within six months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize and maintain facility including rooms, washrooms, kitchens and common areas.
• Prepare rooms for new residents and assist with event setup/breakdown.
• Monitor supplies, report repairs, and follow waste removal procedures.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and SDS is accessible.
