Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Therapy Assistant to support clients in the community. You will collaborate with an interprofessional team and assist therapists with direct and indirect care, in homes and community settings.

The role requires a post-secondary rehab Therapy Assistant diploma, registration with the Therapy Assistant Association of Alberta, BCLS-HCP, and the ability to travel within Calgary. A valid driver’s license and vehicle are also required.

Qualifications

• Completion of diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program or equivalent training may be considered.
• Registered with the Therapy Assistant Association of Alberta.

Responsibilities

• Supports client and assists therapist with direct and indirect client care.
• Collaborates with interprofessional team to deliver rehabilitation services.
• Travel within city of Calgary to care for clients in homes or in the community.
