Job summary

Integra Support Services is seeking compassionate Community Support Workers in Victoria, BC. This casual position offers shifts with a wage range of $25.95–$29.76 per hour.

You will support adults with developmental disabilities, promote independence, and help with daily living activities in a person-centered, trauma-informed approach. Responsibilities include bathing, mobility assistance, meal prep, and community participation while maintaining privacy and dignity.

Qualifications

  • CSW Diploma or equivalent education and/or relevant experience.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence.
  • Current First Aid with CPR C.
  • Valid TB Test.
  • MANDT Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered care to individuals with diverse physical, developmental, and mental health needs.
  • Assist with daily living activities including personal care and mobility.
  • Support household tasks: meal planning, laundry, light housekeeping, and shopping.
  • Encourage participation in community, recreational, and social activities to promote inclusion.
  • Implement care plans and monitor well-being; communicate changes to the team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including progress notes and incident reports.

About the Role

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Support Workers to support individuals with diverse abilities, complex needs, and high behavioral support requirements. In this role, you will provide person-centered care, assist with daily living activities, promote independence, support community inclusion, and help create a safe and positive environment through respectful and trauma-informed approaches.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered care and support to individuals with diverse physical, developmental, and mental health needs, promoting dignity, independence, and overall well-being.
  • Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, peri-care, continence care, and changing, while respecting each individual's privacy, dignity, and preferences.
  • Support clients with household tasks, including meal planning and preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, grocery shopping, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
  • Support clients in participating in community, recreational and social activities to encourage inclusion, build life skills, and enhance quality of life.
  • Implement individualized care plans, monitor clients' physical, emotional, and behavioral well-being, and communicate any changes or concerns to the appropriate team members.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including daily progress notes, medication records, and incident reports, while following organizational policies and health and safety procedures.
About You
Qualifications
  • Community Support Worker (CSW) Diploma or equivalent education and/or relevant experience.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence
  • Current First Aid with CPR C
  • Valid TB Test
  • MANDT Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
Skills and Abilities
  • Experience with FASD, ADHD, OCD, autism spectrum, aggressive, challenging, and self-harming behaviour considered an asset.
  • Experience in a medical setting with G/J-tube and/or trach care knowledge an asset.
  • Ability to support individuals with personal care needs, including bathing, grooming, toileting, peri-care, and mobility assistance.
  • Ability to assist with household tasks, including meal preparation, laundry, and maintaining a safe and supportive living environment.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of person-centered care, trauma-informed practices, and positive behavior support strategies.
