Job summary

The HOME Society is seeking a caregiver to provide a home-like, supportive environment for individuals in a community setting. The role focuses on safety, well-being, and encouraging active participation of family and friends in each person’s life.

Responsibilities include forming warm relationships, promoting development, and ensuring a nurturing atmosphere while adhering to care standards and collective agreement pay guidelines. Training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Clear Criminal Record Check through Ministry of Public Safety and Justice Adult Care or Community Care First Aid/CPR.
• Food Safe Certification and valid Driver's license (Class 4 or 5) are required.
• Current drivers abstract is preferred and must be favorable.

Responsible for providing a home-like, comfortable environment in the Individual setting. Also ensuring that each individual has the opportunity to develop to the fullest extent of his/her abilities and desires. They will establish a warm and personal relationship with each individual living in the home and encourage the active participation of parents, siblings, and friends in each person’s life while keeping the Individual’s safety and well-being the priority at all times.
