Job summary

GLA Rehab is seeking a Community Social Worker/Psychotherapist to assess clients in their homes or in the community and provide counselling and support for psychological difficulties following trauma from motor vehicle accidents. The role emphasizes psycho-social assessments, in-person counselling, and collaborative documentation with health professionals.

The candidate should be a qualified social worker or psychotherapist, with knowledge of CBT and trauma; Ontario registration is required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker or Psychotherapist.
• CBT and Trauma training are assets.
• Registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers or Ontario College of Psychotherapists.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Good time management and organizational abilities.
• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for community work.
• SABS experience is an asset.
• Flexible in terms of environment and hours.

Our social workers and psychotherapist are assessing and treating clients within their home or in the community. They provide counselling and support services in order to help them cope with psychological difficulties, following a trauma as a result of a Motor Vehicle Accident.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Work or Psychotherapist
• CBT Training and Trauma training is an asset
• Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers or the Ontario College of Psychotherapist.
• Ability to communicate clearly and accurately in verbal and written reports.
• Critical thinking and decision making
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Valid driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle as all work is community based
• Experience working under the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) will be considered an asset
• Provide services in a flexible environment and flexible working hours
