Qualifikationen

• Possession of Community Peace Officer appointment through the Ministry of Public Safety and Emergency Services.
• Completion of the Community Peace Officer Induction Program (CPOIP) or equivalent.
• Able to pass a physical ability test (PARE).
• Able to pass RCMP and Alberta Public Safety Enhanced Reliability checks.
• Completion and maintenance of Alberta Peace Officer Program training and certifications.

Aufgaben

• Enforce selected provincial statutes and municipal bylaws as authorized under applicable legislation.
• Adhere to directives under the Peace Officer Appointment and County Authority.
• Conduct proactive patrols to identify non-compliance and address issues.
• Investigate bylaw complaints, educate, issue warnings, orders, or enforcement actions as needed.
• Gather evidence, prepare case files, and represent the department in legal proceedings when required.
