Job summary

Northern Health - BC is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our Community Respiratory Team. The role focuses on delivering respiratory care across community settings, including health promotion, assessments, diagnostics, education and rehabilitation for patients with respiratory issues.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Interprofessional Teams, you will contribute to disease self-management plans within the primary care network, with a Monday to Friday daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist status required.
• Experience in community respiratory services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Community Respiratory Services within Northern Health.
• Promote respiratory health, assess patients, perform diagnostics, educate and rehabilitate.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Interprofessional Teams, the Community Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the delivery of Community Respiratory Services within Northern Health including promotion of respiratory health, assessment, diagnostic testing, education, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with respiratory dysfunction. Formulates and documents respiratory care plans and disease self-management strategies.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday / Days 08:30 to 16:30
