Qualifications

• At least two years of homestay or related work experience.
• One-year Community College Certificate or Diploma.
• International experience hosting students (preferred).
• Ability to plan events and comfortable with public speaking.
• Strong judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage relationships between internal and external stakeholders.
• Support homestay hosts, parents, and students in cultural practices and differences.
• Plan and deliver in-person training for hosts and orientations for hosts and new students.
• Communicate and maintain accurate records.
• Build a supportive local community of host families.
• Support student-host family relationships throughout the program.
• Respond to crisis situations promptly and refer cases to health professionals when needed.
• In-person work with intake and School Meetings.
• Travel within the local region and surrounding areas.
