Job summary

Cree Nation Government in Chisasibi seeks a Community Reintegration Officer to support reintegration efforts for Cree offenders. You will work with probation officers, communities, and health/social services to coordinate services and plans for clients.

Requirements include a college diploma in criminology or related fields, 1–3 years’ experience, and fluency in Cree and English. Travel and security screening may be required.

Qualifications

• The candidate holds a college diploma and relevant training in criminology or related fields.
• Experience writing confidential reports and maintaining client files is preferred.
• Fluency in Cree and English; French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients in custody to provide information and prepare release plans.
• Coordinate with psychologists and corrections staff to monitor progress.
• Attend court hearings as required and support reintegration activities.
• Develop community partnerships to support reintegration and employment.
• Maintain confidential client information and prepare routine reports.
