Job summary

Interior Health is seeking a Casual Rehabilitation Assistant in Enderby, BC to support the multidisciplinary team under the direction of a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist. The role involves carrying out rehabilitative treatment plans and assisting therapists in monitoring progress.

You will help clients with activities of daily living and run group or individual therapy programs in homes and community sites on a casual as-needed basis.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program, plus one year’s recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current valid BC Driver’s License.

About the role:

Under the clinical direction of a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist, the Rehabilitation Assistant functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team in meeting the needs of the client. The Rehabilitation Assistant carries out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assists the therapist in monitoring and evaluating patients/residents’ progression. The Community Rehabilitation Assistant assists clients with activities of daily living, and implements group and individual therapy programs in clients homes and other community sites.
