Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of Physiotherapy.
• Two years' recent related clinical experience in a community/geriatric/rehabilitation setting.
• Current full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC and eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Physiotherapy.
• Valid BC Driver's License and access to personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide physiotherapy services through assessment, consultation and interventions to promote functional independence and safety.
• Collaborate with clients, families and healthcare professionals to formulate client-centered goals.
• Evaluate and model current practice; contribute to interdisciplinary team decisions for improved care.
• Recommend equipment and home adaptations to promote mobility and independence.
• Educate clients and caregivers on mobility techniques and use of aids.
• Maintain records and participate in quality improvement activities.
