Job summary

Fraser Health in BC is seeking a Physiotherapist to provide assessments and treatments for referred clients in community settings, promoting independence, mobility and safe daily function.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team, develop care plans, educate clients and caregivers on equipment and home adaptations, and maintain records.

Two years of related clinical experience and current registration with the BC College of Physiotherapists are required, along with a valid BC driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of Physiotherapy.
• Two years of recent clinical experience in a community, geriatric or rehabilitation setting.
• Current full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC and eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Physiotherapy.

Responsibilities

• Provides physiotherapy assessments and treatments to referred clients through assessment, consultation and interventions that promote functional independence and safety.
• Collaborates with clients, families, caregivers and staff to formulate client-centered goals; develops, implements and monitors care plans to reach client goals.
• Educates clients/family/caregivers on mobility, equipment, adaptations and home safety; maintains records and related statistics.
• Participates in quality improvement and risk management activities by evaluating clinical practice and recommending changes.
• Assists with student placements and supervision of students during clinical placements.
