Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Canada is seeking a Pharmacist to manage pharmacy operations on duty, provide counselling to customers and health care providers, dispensing medications and maintaining the dispensary. The role emphasizes patient‑centered care, privacy, and regulatory compliance.

You will ensure accuracy of prescriptions, collaborate with the health care circle, manage records, and uphold safety standards while contributing to strong customer service and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge customers entering the Pharmacy
• Provide counselling on prescriptions and over-the-counter products
• Ensure privacy and confidentiality of customer information
• Dispense medications within regulatory scope
• Maintain accuracy of prescriptions and records
• Communicate with other health care professionals to support patient care
• Manage workflow and inventory within dispensary
• Monitor stock levels and report expiry and shortages
• Document incidents and follow SOPs
• Adhere to controlled substances documentation and reporting requirements
• Represent the pharmacy image in all interactions
• Participate in training and continuing education as needed
