Carecor is seeking dedicated and compassionate Community Personal Support Workers to join our community care team. In this role, you will travel to clients’ homes to provide high‑quality personal care and support that empowers individuals to live safely and independently in their own environment. You will assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, toileting, and medication reminders. Light housekeeping, meal preparation, companionship, and emotional support are also part of the role. This position is ideal for a PSW who is confident working independently, adaptable to varied client needs, and committed to delivering dignified, person‑centered care. Area of Work: Rural area of Cornwall and surrounding communities.
Availability: Standard working hours are Days (6:00am–2:00pm) and Evenings (2:00pm–10:00pm). Employees must be available to work every other weekend, providing 2 weekends a month.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care service according to directions on the established care plan or assignment sheet, ensuring the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients.
- Deliver personal care within the provincial scope of practice, including skin, hair, mouth, bathing, bowel and bladder care, positioning, movement, exercise, basic wound care, feeding, and medication reminders.
- Perform specialized client‑specific procedures for which recognized training and current competence can be demonstrated.
- Observe and document client conditions according to company standards, and report unusual events or changes to the immediate supervisor or office.
- Implement infection prevention practices.
- Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities.
- Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.
- Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives within the company’s Quality Management System.
- Engage in proactive Health & Safety activities, notifying the supervisor of any risks or concerns.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information, discussing it only with appropriate Bayshore personnel.
- Complete other tasks as requested.
Job Qualifications

- Home Support Worker (HSW), Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate or enrollment in a Nursing pathway program or nursing student.
- Clinical experience as a HSW or PSW within the past 1 year.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate.
- Proof of negative TB skin test within the past year or negative chest x‑ray within the past 5 years.
- Willingness to undergo a Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire.
In accordance with recent government mandates, healthcare workers must provide proof of full COVID‑19 vaccination prior to the start date if successfully hired.
