Job summary

The Officer, Community Engagement at CHEO Foundation in Ottawa, ON, is responsible for building partnerships with new and existing community groups and donors. This contract role includes identifying, cultivating, and soliciting partners while supporting successful community-led fundraising initiatives.

You will collaborate with hospital staff, volunteers, and foundation colleagues to advance strategic priorities, including engaging diverse communities. Evening and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in fundraising, event planning, community engagement or related field.
• Proven ability to manage relationships with donors and community partners.
• Strong project management, organization, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate and solicit new and existing community engagement partners.
• Manage a portfolio of community fundraising partners through full relationship cycle.
• Act as liaison between CHEO Foundation and community partners with professional engagement.
• Plan, coordinate and attend community fundraising events and related activities.
• Provide partners with tools, resources and guidance for fundraising initiatives.
• Carry out donor relations activities including letters, reports and gift agreements.
• Maintain accurate donor/partner records in Raiser's Edge and Asana.
• Collaborate with internal teams and support Foundation-wide events.
• Plan and participate in community-led fundraising events for strong execution and participant experience.
• Perform other duties as required.
