Position Overview

Bayshore Home Care Solutions, Brantford Branch is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a permanent position. The role includes community‐based therapy with a mix of in‑person and virtual client visits. Schedule is flexible (Monday‑Friday, weekends or a combination). The position may be a casual employee or an independent contractor.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments, establish and adjust treatment programs, set goals and discharge plans.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records per the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario requirements.
  • Document assessment results, goals, treatment, client progress and discharge plans.
  • Collaborate with other health team members as needed.
  • Communicate pertinent information and recommendations to clients and care providers, and provide education regarding treatment strategies.
  • Observe and guide those assisting in the Occupational Therapy program.
  • Maintain active standing in the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Participate in ongoing internal and/or external education activities.
  • Adhere to Bayshore Therapy & Rehab Policies and Procedures.
  • Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the company's Quality Management System.
  • Participate in proactive health & safety activities; report risks or concerns to the immediate supervisor.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information and share only with appropriate Bayshore personnel.
  • Complete other tasks as requested.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or recognized equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registered and in good standing with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists.
  • One year of experience providing Occupational Therapy services, including in‑home assessments and treatments.
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
Benefits & Compensation
  • Employee: $77.50 per visit plus benefits (sick, vacation, RRSP, health).
  • Independent Contractor: $87.50 per visit.
  • On‑site and virtual client visits with flexible scheduling.
Vaccination Requirement

New hires may be required to provide proof of vaccination against illnesses such as COVID‑19, Hepatitis, and seasonal flu, depending on provincial regulations and the position being applied for.
