Job summary

Alberta Health Services in rural Alberta is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide a wide range of nursing services to patients, families and communities. You will apply nursing processes with critical thinking, teach and advocate for clients, and support an integrated, holistic approach to care.

Based in the Rural South team serving Okotoks and surrounding communities, you will work within an inter-professional team, develop care plans, and adjust services as needs evolve.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with CRNA.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with CARNA.
• Ability to perform manual handling up to 50 lbs and operate basic computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing services to patients and families in community settings.
• Lead nursing care ensuring safety, quality and patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with inter-professional teams and develop care plans.
• Maintain documentation and adapt services as client needs change.
