***The Community Manager (Weekend) will work a schedule that includes Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. This position has scheduled days off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

About the Role

As a Community Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the growth and engagement of online communities around our clients' brands within the dynamic gaming, music, and creator industries. You will be a key contributor to fostering authentic connections and meaningful interactions with our clients' target audiences. Your understanding of community building principles, coupled with your passion for social media and emerging technologies, will help drive brand advocacy and loyalty. As this role will cover weekend support, we are looking for someone available and willing to work the weekends.

Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive online environment that encourages meaningful interactions and fosters a strong sense of belonging among community members.
  • Support the development and implementation of community engagement strategies that align with our clients’ business objectives and social media strategies.
  • Engage with the community by replying to comments, liking posts, retweeting, sharing content, and participating in discussions.
  • Schedule and publish all social media content, actively monitor engagement opportunities, and proactively seek out conversations with influencers or key thought leaders to increase brand visibility and foster relationships.
  • Identify reactive opportunities for the brand to participate in relevant online conversations and trending topics.
  • Collaborate closely with the Social Strategy team to ensure alignment between social media strategies and community engagement initiatives and the Creative team to ensure alignment regarding the persona, voice, and tone of the brand.
  • Continuously analyze community conversations and content performance to glean insights that inform and optimize ongoing strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Data team to craft weekly/monthly reports, providing key takeaways and learnings based on community conversation and content performance analysis.
  • Stay abreast of the latest social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms, particularly those relevant to the gaming, music, and creator industries.
  • Provide exceptional support and guidance to community members, addressing their inquiries and concerns with empathy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including social strategy, creative, and account management, to ensure a cohesive brand experience across all touch points.
About You
The essentials:
  • 3-5 years of experience in community management, with a demonstrated passion for building and nurturing online communities.
  • Understanding of social media platforms, community management tools, and online engagement strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to foster authentic relationships with diverse audiences.
  • Strong understanding of community-building principles and best practices, with the ability to create a welcoming and inclusive online environment.
  • Experience in the gaming, music, and creator industries is a plus.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Sprout Social) and familiarity with social listening tools and techniques.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.

What We Offer

Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.

Salary Range$70,000—$75,000 CAD
