Job summary

Options Community Services in Surrey is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Worker to keep two buildings safe, clean and welcoming for residents. You will perform routine maintenance and minor repairs (electrical, plumbing, carpentry), conduct inspections, respond to inquiries and emergencies, and coordinate with contractors.

Qualifications

• Certificate in a relevant trade or skill area and at least two years of related experience.
• First Aid Certificate and WHMIS certification are assets.
• Hands-on experience across multiple maintenance trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs (electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Conduct inspections and respond to resident inquiries and emergencies.
• Coordinate with contractors for work in the buildings.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with move-in/move-out processes.
• Handle abandoned belongings in accordance with policy and support residents with professionalism.
