Job summary

Northern Health - BC is seeking compassionate home support workers to help clients stay in the home they love. Under the supervision of the manager, you will assist with daily living activities, follow the care plan, and promote independence in the community.

Candidates must hold current registration with the BC Care Aide Registry. Shifts rotate: days, 07:30 to 19:15, 09:45 to 21:30 (Rotating).

Qualifications

• Assists with activities of daily living as per care plan.
• Provides meals planning and preparation to promote independence.
• Completes delegated tasks after training.

Responsibilities

• Supports clients with bathing, grooming and oral hygiene.
• Assists with meal planning and basic cooking.
• Works under supervision to ensure well-being of individuals and families.

Performs delegated tasks for which delegation of tasks training has been completed. A key component of this job is to ensure the well-being of individuals and families and to promote independent living while in the community.
