Job summary

Aplin is partnering with a growing non-profit on the south side of Winnipeg to hire a Community Engagement Coordinator. This role focuses on cultivating donor relationships, supporting grant applications, and coordinating events, with a focus on environmental sustainability.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Director, enjoy in-office collaboration, and travel within the province as needed.

Qualifications

  • Related post-secondary degree in agriculture, natural resources or environmental science is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work in a project-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with current and potential donors and financial supporters.
  • Assist with development and submission of grant applications.
  • Contribute to the association’s digital engagement strategy.
  • Engage with the community both online and in-person at events.
  • Support delivery of community and education-focused programming and other events.

Stacey Danley at Aplin has partnered with our client, a growing non-profit based on the south side of Winnipeg, on the search for a Community Engagement Coordinator. This is an ideal opportunity for an environmentally conscious, community-orientated individual who thrives on building and maintaining relationships. The successful candidate will support the Executive Director with submitting grant applications and organizing events.

Responsibilities
  • Developing strong relationships with current and potential donors and financial supporters.
  • Assisting with development and submission of grant applications.
  • Contributing to the association’s digital engagement strategy.
  • Connecting with the community both online and in-person at various industry events.
  • Supporting delivery of key community and education focused programming and other events and projects.
Qualifications
  • A related post-secondary degree (agriculture, natural resources, or environmental science) is required
  • A passion for environmental sustainability
  • Previous experience in a non-profit environment is an asset
  • Previous experience in customer service is an asset
  • An ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative
  • Excellent time management skills and in ability to work in a project-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office

Please note this is a full-time permanent in-office role. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm. A valid driver’s license is required as there will be occasional travel throughout the province to attend events.
