Qualifications

• Educational background in social work/social services/human services or equivalent education.
• Minimum 2yrs working in community services.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Crisis intervention, de-escalation skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Drop-in space is safe, welcoming and inclusive for participants.
• Enforce food handling, sanitation and health and safety guidelines as per Toronto Public Health.
• Assist with conflict prevention/resolution and provide crisis intervention support as necessary.
• Maintain clear communication to support facilitation and program operations.
• Assist in cooking/preparing breakfast and setting up program space.
• Coordinate with volunteers and staff to deliver dignified services.
• Maintain daily program logs and assist with program monitoring.
• Refer participants to community resources and supports as needed.
• Collect and record relevant statistics as required.
