Job summary

Metis-Nation-Saskatchewan- is seeking a Communications Officer I to provide day-to-day communications support across departments, translating program information into clear, accessible messages for citizens, employees, stakeholders and the public.

Reporting to the Communications Manager, you will help plan campaigns, develop content, apply brand standards, track workflows, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely, high-quality communications aligned with MN–S priorities.

Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of relevant communications experience
  • Demonstrated experience drafting communications and supporting communications initiatives and campaigns

Responsibilities

  • Support client service by assisting Communications Officer II and Manager with portfolio plans and activities
  • Coordinate communications requests, timelines and deliverables
  • Ensure projects move through workflows and approvals
  • Assist in content development for programs, services, announcements and events
  • Support media relations, internal communications, and stakeholder communications
  • Track activities and performance using established tools and report on results
