ROME GROUP is looking for a dynamic Communications Specialist to enhance its storytelling and public engagement. The role involves developing content that highlights the mission of Catholic Charities, building media relationships, and executing strategic communications initiatives. Ideal candidates will have experience in marketing and communications, particularly within a non-profit context.
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Communications Specialist to serve as a storyteller and key liaison between our ministries and the public.
Responsibilities include:
• Develop and write impactful stories, press releases, newsletter content, and web copy that highlight the work and mission of Catholic Charities.
• Serve as a communications bridge between ministry co-workers, clients, and the public, gathering real-life stories and transforming them into moving narratives.
• Build relationships with local and regional media outlets; pitch stories and coordinate media opportunities.
• Assist in the development and execution of media campaigns, events, and strategic communications initiative
• Uphold the mission, values, and Catholic identity of the organization in all communications
Qualifications:
2-4 yrs. experience with a marketing & communications team, preferably in a non-profit environment; Experience with Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva and other creative platforms. Understanding and experience with Geo-Targeting and other analytic measurements
