About the Role:
We’re looking for a part-time Strategic Communications Contractor to support internal communications. This role is ideal for a communication professional who has experience running communications plans particularly for large-scale employee-facing events in the tech sector.
You’ll drive end-to-end communications in partnership with the Integrated Communications Lead and stakeholders—engaging employees through clear, branded messaging across internal channels, while using LinkedIn to extend our storytelling and strengthen our employer brand.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute comprehensive internal communications for our client events and initiatives
• Manage timelines, review processes, and cross-functional input
• Develop clear, compelling messaging and campaign materials across multiple channels (email, SharePoint, newsletters, digital signage, social media etc.)
• Support executive communications and content for event messaging
• Partner with stakeholders to shape narratives and messaging that resonate with internal and external audiences
• Create complementary social media content (especially LinkedIn posts) to highlight events and showcase culture, innovation, and employee impact externally
• Track engagement metrics and campaign performance to inform future efforts for key channels and publications
• Coordinate with designers or use branded templates for visual assets as needed
Required Skills and Experience:
• 4+ years of experience in internal or corporate communications, ideally in the tech sector
• Proven ability to lead internal communications plans for events from start to finish
• Strong writing and editing skills, with a knack for both internal messaging and social media copy
• Experience preparing executive speaker notes for live presentations and all-employee meetings
• Experience creating or curating LinkedIn content that supports employer branding.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple initiatives
• Proficiency with internal communication platforms (SharePoint, Microsoft 365, etc.)
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with hybrid and distributed teams
• Knowledge in public relations and working with external media outlets is a definite bonus.
• Familiarity with basic design tools like Canva or PowerPoint for visual asset creation
• An understanding of basic video production tasks like scripting and pre-production; video-editing skills are a bonus.
• Understanding of communications metrics and how to apply insights
