Vero, a regional, award-winning communications agency is opening an opportunity for Communications Manager professional who wants to join a creative, collaborative and progressive team focused on serving the best brands in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

The ideal candidate should be an agency professional with deep experience in not only leading accounts, but managing a team and delivering on creative PR or integrated campaigns and assignments at the highest industry standards.

Responsibilities

Client & Project Management :

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, building strong, trust-based relationships.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and reporting sessions.
  • Translate client needs into actionable plans and ensure deliverables are on time and on brand.
  • Manage project timelines, scopes, and budgets, ensuring efficient execution.

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and oversee integrated PR strategies tailored to client objectives.
  • Craft compelling messaging, narratives, and content strategies aligned with brand goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (media relations, digital, creative) to bring campaigns to life.
  • Identify proactive PR opportunities to increase client visibility and thought leadership.

Content Development

  • Draft press materials, talking points, briefing documents, and client reports.
  • Review and edit content created by the team to ensure quality and brand alignment.
  • Work closely with media relations team to guide outreach strategies and ensure coverage goals are met.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, helping to build skills and confidence.
  • Support new business pitches and proposal development as needed.

Requirements

  • 5-6 years of agency experience in a client servicing or account management role, leading and delivering on PR driven or integrated campaigns.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa, both verbal and written
  • Proven experience in media relations, developing and executing successful public relations strategies and communication programs
  • Strong understanding of advertising, public relations, marketing principles, interactive, media, and production including the latest industry trends
  • Has excellent communication skills and ability to provide sound counsel and recommendations to clients
  • Has leadership and management experience to mentor and grow juniors
  • Good communication and presentation skills in English, as well as negotiation skills and experience managing budgets
  • Results oriented and able to work under pressure to solve problems
  • General understanding of agency protocols, procedures, and processes
  • Organized, with a passion to learn

Travel And Place Of Work

Your usual location for work will be the company's office in Indonesia. Your place of work may vary depending on the Company’s needs, including Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia or other locations as instructed from time to time. Additional expenses incurred by you because of the Company directing that you work from a location other than your usual location, will be reimbursed by the Company.

Standard working hours are flexible, Monday through Friday. This may vary depending on workload and client needs.

We trust our people to use good judgement when given guidelines for making decisions about taking holiday and we know that our teams work better when they can rest and take a proper break from work. Our goal is that every team take an average of 15 days (minimum!) per person a year.
  • Maternity and Paternity leave : we provide maternity leave for 6 months and paternity leave for 1 month.
  • Thought Leadership and training : We sponsor team-members with training tools and resources, both internal and external and we even incentivize employees to complete classes. Details of training programs and incentives will be shared upon your onboarding. This includes training and development investments organized by the company as well as specialized programs that our executives may come across and feel is needed for their development. For example, this could be a program organized by a group such as PR WEEK, PRCA or a training program that focuses on business in general. Across the Vero group we are seeking new and better ways to help people develop careers – and of course this would apply to the Indonesia too.
  • Health Insurance : The Company will provide a private medical insurance as a benefit. The actual package and structure of the insurance may be determined by the Company and at its sole discretion.
  • Mental Health Budget : We understand the importance of access to proper mental health support, all our employees can access a minimum budget of $500 USD per year for therapy with internationally trained psychologists. The access to this budget and the content of your therapy are 100% confidential, only you and your therapist know what is being said during sessions, of course.
