Job description

Our client, is seeking an experienced and strategic Communications Manager to join their team in Guelph, Ontario. Reporting to the Senior Director, Communications and Stakeholder Relations, the Communications Manager will play a critical role in leading the organization’s strategic communication initiatives. This is a hybrid role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing and communications strategies that support corporate objectives, enhance stakeholder engagement, and uphold the organization’s brand integrity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement integrated corporate and operational communications plans
• Create compelling messaging around key focus areas and initiatives
• Represent the organization at sector-related meetings, working groups, and industry events
• Support issues management and crisis communication efforts
• Grow the media relations strategy and consumer campaign initiatives
• Manage and support digital communication channels and optimize digital capabilities
• Ensure brand integrity and compliance with brand standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support internal communications
• Provide project management leadership within the Communications team

DESIRED PROFILE:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in communications, journalism, marketing, or public relations
• Proven experience managing corporate communications and digital channels
• Strong background in project management and stakeholder engagement
• Experience in agriculture or a regulated environment is an asset
• Demonstrated success in people management and team leadership
• Bilingualism (English & French) is considered an asset
• Willingness to travel for events

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with SAP CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and CMS platforms is an asset
• Strong understanding of digital communication trends and tools
