Job summary

YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg is seeking a Communications Coordinator to tell our story and steward the brand across digital and traditional media. You’ll engage internal and external stakeholders, publish compelling content, and drive engagement, donations, and partnerships.

You’ll lead interviews, manage communications calendars, and collaborate with teams on in-market messages while tracking impact with analytics. A degree in communications and 2–3 years’ experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in communications (non-profit sector considered an asset).
• Demonstrated success in utilizing best practices communication campaigns (direct mail, email, web, social media).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to research and provide options.

Responsibilities

• Proactively connects with stakeholders to capture impact stories.
• Writes, edits and publishes brand-aligned communications copy to drive engagement and action.
• Schedules and conducts interviews with members, staff, and community partners.
