Social Media Brand Ambassador
Are you part storyteller, part strategist, and part hype-person?

We’re looking for a creative, energetic, and community-minded Social Media Brand Ambassador to help bring our organization’s story to life.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on creating engaging content, building meaningful connections, and transforming everyday moments into compelling stories that resonate with diverse audiences. You’ll lead social media engagement, digital storytelling, brand communications, and content creation initiatives that strengthen awareness, engagement, and community impact.

What You’ll Do
Social Media & Digital Content
  • Lead and manage social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok
  • Create engaging written, visual, and video content using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms
  • Develop content calendars and oversee content scheduling and publishing
  • Monitor engagement and maintain an active, responsive online presence
  • Stay current on digital trends, tools, and best practices
  • Design graphics and promotional materials for digital and print applications
Brand Storytelling & Communications
  • Develop and implement internal and external communication strategies
  • Create newsletters, media releases, reports, brochures, and promotional materials
  • Support marketing and fundraising communication initiatives
  • Ensure consistency in brand voice, messaging, and visual identity
  • Assist with media relations and public inquiries
  • Support organizational meetings, events, and community engagement activities
Website & Digital Presence
  • Maintain and update website content
  • Ensure digital materials are accessible, current, and user-friendlyManage online publication of reports, newsletters, and organizational updates
Publications & Special Projects
  • Coordinate and produce annual reports and impact publications
  • Create digital storytelling products highlighting organizational achievements and community impact
What You Bring
Education & Experience
  • College diploma or university degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies, Advertising, or a related field
  • Minimum two years of experience in social media management, communications, digital marketing, public relations, or content creation
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple social media platforms
  • Portfolio showcasing social media, design, writing, or content creation work
Skills & Qualifications
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong editing, storytelling, and content development abilities
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable design tools
  • Knowledge of photography, videography, and basic video editing
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with competing priorities
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset
Additional Requirements
  • Valid Ontario G Driver’s Licence and reliable transportation
  • Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, and special events
  • Successful completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
