Job summary

Trotter & Morton Building Technologies Inc. in Calgary, AB is hiring Experienced and Beginner Communication Technicians for full-time commercial work.

You will install and service structured cabling for data and audio-visual systems, including pre-wiring, installation, testing, and labeling. You should be capable of working at heights, willing to adapt to diverse environments, and able to complete accurate paperwork.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in electrical, telecommunications, or electronics would be an asset.
• Flexibility to work in a variety of environments, from construction areas to finished offices.
• Physical ability to perform the requirements of the job, including pulling cable regularly.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and service structured cabling infrastructure and devices for Data and Audio-Visual; includes pre-wiring, installation, termination, testing, reporting, and labeling per specifications and drawings
• Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms
• Ensure that safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
• Complete detailed and accurate paperwork
• Interact with customers and prospects, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally
• Perform other tasks as required
