Job summary

Tridon Communications in Fort McMurray, AB is seeking technicians to join a 1-year camp-based project focused on telecommunications, electrical and vehicular telecom installations in an industrial environment. You will perform low/high voltage tasks, install and test radios and in-vehicle equipment, terminate Ethernet cables, and ensure safety and compliance.

A valid driver's license and clean background are required, with on-site training provided and opportunities to advance within a rapidly

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician or 2nd/3rd-year apprentice with strong technical foundation.
• Experience in telecom installations, vehicle systems, or industrial field environments.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and quality installation with safety focus.
• Team-oriented and adaptable in dynamic project environments.
• Reliable and professional with a valid driver's license and clean background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform low- and high-voltage tasks in an industrial setting.
• Install and test LMR coaxial cable terminations and radio equipment.
• Mount radios and in-vehicle communication gear.
• Terminate and test Ethernet cables.
• Run and secure cabling inside fleet vehicles.
• Adhere to site procedures and safety/compliance standards.

Tridon Communications has been awarded an exciting, new project in Fort McMurray, AB, and I'm looking for a few more technicians to join the team.

• Location: Fort McMurray, AB
• FREE Flights Provided: Out of Edmonton or Calgary, AB
• Shift: 7/7 (camp-based work) | 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Duration: 1-year contract to start which may be extended

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

This project involves telecommunications, electrical and vehicular telecom installations within an industrial/oil sands environment. Responsibilities may include:

• Low-voltage and high-voltage tasks
• Perform LMR coaxial cable terminations and testing to ensure high-quality, reliable radio communication connection and performance.
• Mounting and installing radios and in-vehicle communication equipment
• Terminating and testing Ethernet cables
• Running and securing cabling inside fleet vehicles
• Hands-on work with a variety of power and hand tools
• Ensuring top-tier quality and safety on every install
• Following site procedures and working in a high-compliance environment

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

We're seeking applicants with experience in:

• Electrical Expertise: Journeyman Electricians or 2nd/3rd-year Electrical Apprentices with a strong technical foundation.
• Telecommunications and Low-Voltage Work: Experience with telecom installations, vehicular systems, or industrial field environments.
• Hands-on Troubleshooting and Quality Installation: Ability to ensure reliable, high-quality work while following strict safety and compliance standards.
• Team-oriented and Adaptable: Comfortable collaborating in dynamic, fast-paced project environments and willing to take on new challenges.
• Reliable and Professional: Dependable in meeting project requirements, maintaining high standards, and contributing positively to the team.

Other Requirements

• Full, valid, and current driver's license
• Clean 5-year driver's abstract
• Clear Criminal Background Check
• Successful completion of a Pre-Access Drug & Alcohol test, with ongoing random testing as required by clients
