Job description

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans across assigned categories.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term agreements focused on cost, quality, and risk mitigation.
  • Lead and mentor a remote team based in Shenzhen, fostering collaboration and performance.
  • Analyze supplier capabilities in emerging markets, especially in China and other low-cost regions.
  • Support new product launches through cross-functional coordination with R&D, Marketing, Operations, and Logistics.
  • Drive cost optimization through RFPs, supplier consolidation, e-auctions, and raw material index agreements.
  • Conduct market research, benchmarking, and supplier risk assessments.
  • Maintain accurate pricing and data across multiple ERP platforms.
  • Resolve pricing and invoicing discrepancies in coordination with Accounts Payable.
  • Collaborate with Logistics to optimize freight costs and sourcing strategies.
  • Contribute to process improvements, policy development, and procurement governance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management; MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM) preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, procurement, or supply chain, including 2+ years managing remote teams.
  • Strong understanding of Chinese supply markets and business practices.
  • Proficiency in English; Mandarin language skills are a strong asset.
  • Expertise in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
