- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term agreements focused on cost, quality, and risk mitigation.
- Lead and mentor a remote team based in Shenzhen, fostering collaboration and performance.
- Analyze supplier capabilities in emerging markets, especially in China and other low-cost regions.
- Support new product launches through cross-functional coordination with R&D, Marketing, Operations, and Logistics.
- Drive cost optimization through RFPs, supplier consolidation, e-auctions, and raw material index agreements.
- Conduct market research, benchmarking, and supplier risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate pricing and data across multiple ERP platforms.
- Resolve pricing and invoicing discrepancies in coordination with Accounts Payable.
- Collaborate with Logistics to optimize freight costs and sourcing strategies.
- Contribute to process improvements, policy development, and procurement governance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management; MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM) preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, procurement, or supply chain, including 2+ years managing remote teams.
- Strong understanding of Chinese supply markets and business practices.
- Proficiency in English; Mandarin language skills are a strong asset.
