Job summary

Electra Battery Materials is seeking a Training and Commissioning Coordinator to support the cobalt refinery operations in Temiskaming Shores. The role focuses on developing procedures, coordinating plant commissioning, and training operators across multiple process areas.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in process plants, a Train the Trainer designation, and a strong commitment to health and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of operating and training experience in process plants.
• Previous supervisory experience an asset.
• Train the Trainer designation required.
• Valid First Aid Certification required.
• Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
• Must be local or willing to relocate to Temiskaming Shores, ON.
• High proficiency of Microsoft Office applications, namely Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Superior organizational, problem solving and time management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communications.

Responsibilities

• Develop operating procedures and help execute commissioning activities across plant areas.
• Train operators and process staff to perform procedures.
• Sign off operators as competent under regulatory protocols.
• Track training progress and effectiveness.
• Educate workers on Health and Safety regulations.
• Collaborate with process engineers to commission operating circuits.
• Prepare training materials and tests for modules.
• Develop training modules for on-site operators and maintenance.
• Maintain training records for personnel and contractors.
• Deliver engaging training using presentations and hands-on demos.
• Track and update training data.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
