Job summary

River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond, BC, is seeking a Front Line line cook to join our culinary team on a full-time basis. The role supports Asian-kitchen stations, prepares aromatics, sauces, garnishes, noodles, and rice, and follows standardized recipes to ensure consistent quality.

The position requires at least 1 year of culinary experience, interest in Asian cuisine, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. A Red Seal or food safety certification is an asset.

Qualifications

• Culinary education an asset.

• Interest or experience in Chinese or broader Asian cuisine.
• Red Seal certification through ITA or current enrollment in the program an asset.
• Food Safety Certification.
• Ability to successfully clear a criminal record check.
• Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication.

Responsibilities

• Receives and stores ingredients ensuring proper labeling, dating, storage, and rotation.
• Assists with inventory counts as required Attends culinary meetings as required.
• Communicates effectively with team members and operational departments.
• Builds positive working relationships with guests, ownership, and team members.
• Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and all company policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned or directed.

Under the direct supervision of the Sous Chef, this position is responsible for the execution of menu item production, maintaining all company standards and thorough adherence to all safety and hygiene policies and procedures while contributing to a safe and welcome work environment for all team members.
