What You’ll Do
Lead, coach, and support a team of commercial underwriters to ensure strong performance, development, and retention
Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., Actuarial, Claims, Compliance) to develop tailored underwriting strategies
Guide and contribute to the assessment, pricing, and negotiation of risks across Property, Casualty, and Auto lines
Oversee underwriting quality, documentation, and adherence to guidelines and service standards
Collaborate closely with brokers to deliver customized insurance solutions and maintain strong business relationships
Contribute to process improvement, training initiatives, and change management efforts across the department
What You Bring
10+ years of commercial property & casualty underwriting experience (mid-market focus; construction knowledge a strong asset)
Minimum 3 years of team leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience
Level 2 license; completion of, or progress toward, CIP/FCIP/RPLU or equivalent designations
Proven ability to manage broker relationships with professionalism and responsiveness
Strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset
Ability to lead change and build a culture of continuous improvement
