Job summary

PRIME HEALTH seeks a Commercial Specialist to manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and terms, and coordinate contracts while supporting procurement and inventory teams. You will help ensure material availability, cost efficiency, and reliable supplier performance to drive health product initiatives.

The role requires 3–5 years in procurement or supplier coordination, a related degree, and strong MS Office/ERP skills.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of supplier relationship, procurement or commercial coordination experience.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Strong communication, organization and negotiation skills; ERP/MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for suppliers regarding commercial matters.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure collaboration and service excellence.
  • Research and source new suppliers as required by the purchasing department.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews and follow up on actions.
  • Support supplier onboarding, qualification and registration processes.
  • Coordinate contract administration, negotiations, renewals and amendments.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate prices and terms.
  • Maintain pricing databases and monitor pricing trends for accuracy.
  • Negotiate on pricing, terms and delivery schedules to optimize costs.
  • Track deliveries and address delays, shortages, or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics and operations for timely supply.
  • Monitor supplier KPIs and support corrective actions and reporting.
  • Maintain supplier records, contracts, certifications and documents.
  • Generate reports on performance, spend, contracts and savings initiatives.
  • Analyze supplier data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Assist management with commercial decision making using data insights.
  • Assist purchase and inventory departments to streamline processes.

Job description

We are seeking a Commercial Specialist to manage supplier relationships and support procurement activities. The role will be responsible for sourcing and evaluating suppliers, negotiating pricing and commercial terms, coordinating contracts and supplier onboarding, and monitoring supplier performance. The ideal candidate will work closely with Procurement, Purchasing, Inventory, Logistics, and Operations teams to ensure timely material availability, competitive pricing, and reliable supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers regarding commercial matters
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure collaboration and service excellence
  • Research and find new suppliers for material requirement time to time as per requirement of purchase department
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and follow-up on action items
  • Support supplier onboarding, qualification, and registration processes
  • Coordinate contract administration, negotiations, renewals, amendments, and compliance requirements
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations and commercial proposals, negotiate, finalize the prices, agreement, supply terms and conditions
  • Maintain pricing databases and monitor pricing trend, accuracy
  • Negotiations on pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to optimize costs
  • Track supplier deliveries and address delays, shortages, or discrepancies
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to ensure timely supply availability
  • Monitor supplier KPIs such as on-time delivery, quality, cost, and responsiveness
  • Prepare supplier performance reports and dashboards, identify improvement opportunities and support corrective action plans
  • Maintain accurate supplier records, contracts, certifications, and commercial documents
  • Generate reports on supplier performance, spending, contracts, and savings initiatives
  • Analyze supplier data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Assist management with commercial decision-making through data-driven insights
  • Assist purchase and inventory department to streamline purchases, inventory
  • Perform the work assigned by management time to time

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in supplier relationship, procurement, commercial coordination (pharma or nutraceutical preferred)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (ERP experience is an asset)
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Commercial awareness and negotiation & Contract administration
  • Problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
