Job summary

The Government of New Brunswick’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure in Fredericton is seeking a Commercial Sign Coordinator for a one-year temporary assignment. You will report to the Traffic Design Engineer and lead the Provincial Commercial Signing Program, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective delivery.

We require a university degree in business or a related diploma with supervisory experience and strong Microsoft Office skills, plus a valid NB driver’s license.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration or Commerce.
• Or two-year post-secondary diploma in a business-related program with 1–2 years related experience.
• One year supervisory experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick.

Responsibilities

• Providing leadership, guidance, and support to employees, while ensuring effective teamwork and performance.
• Coordinating the Provincial Commercial Signing Program.
• Managing program budgets and expenditures.
• Providing interpretation of signage legislation, regulations, and policies.
• Ensuring compliance with commercial signage requirements across the province.
• Investigating signage non-compliance and recommending corrective actions.
• Supporting consistent program delivery.
