Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc in Fredericton, NB, is seeking Traffic Control Persons to manage temporary work zones and traffic. You will set up signs per provincial rules, load daily equipment, and coordinate with customers to determine traffic control needs.

Role requires provincial Traffic Control Person and Agent/Signer certifications, physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and adherence to safety policies while in the field. Excellent local opportunity.

Qualifications

• Certification to perform traffic control tasks.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions and follow safety policies.
• Provincial and NS certifications are preferred where listed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure temporary workplaces are signed in accordance with provincial requirements.
• Load equipment required for the day onto the truck.
• Interact with customers in the field to understand scope of work and traffic control requirements.
• Ensure Traffic Control Persons follow all safety policies in the field.
• Act as Traffic Control Person during breaks/lunches for crew.
• Perform routine inspections of temporary workplaces.

Nova Scotia Traffic Control Person Certificate (preferred)

Nova Scotia Temporary Workplace Signer Certificate (preferred)
