Reporting to the General Manager Dufferin Aggregates, the Commercial Services Manager is responsible for Aggregates volume, price, and margin across Dufferin Aggregates service areas, as well as growth in the soils management business. While driving growth, profitable sales and effective execution of strategy for its assigned line of businesses, the Commercial Services Manager will also ensure that environmental and health & safety standards are met through compliance of Company standards and local legislation. Through continuous collaboration and cross-functional communication, the Commercial Services Manager will provide leadership and vision, inspiring and motivating staff to achieve excellence within the sector.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for Sales of Aggregates volume, price, and margin across Dufferin Aggregates service areas.
  • Growth in the Soil Management Line of Business.
  • Ensure the execution of commercial strategies and key performance indicators.
  • Develops annual commercial strategy, Identify risk and develop new opportunities.
  • Oversee customer service team to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Communicating marketing strategy to internal and necessary external stakeholders
  • Ensure OH&S standards and performance objective / targets are met by employees.
  • Identify and filling all critical position within is line of business.
  • Contribute to overall business strategy and annual budget process.
  • Drive any necessary culture change and improvement in business performance to deliver strategic goals.
  • Support and drive Health and Safety processes and procedures within the organization implementing a behavioral approach to safety and a zero-tolerance culture.
  • Motivate and provide direction to the sales organization.

Requirements :

  • Post-Secondary Degree with a focus on business or economics with 10+ years of experience in the Aggregates industry.
  • 5+ years of experience managing a cross-functional team and or sales organization within a matrix-driven environment.
  • Ability to develop, maintain and communicate appropriate metrics, interpret trends, and adjust strategies as needed in response to changing market conditions and / or role requirements.
  • Experience operating in and influencing at a strategic level.
  • Customer focused & adaptable, with superb communication skills.
