Job summary

Black & McDonald in Vancouver, BC, is seeking an experienced Service Technician for the Service Division. The role requires hands-on, customer-service orientation and strong technical aptitude to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing and heating systems, including boilers, pumps, and tanks.

You will work autonomously or with a team, provide clear service reports, and participate in on‑call rotations.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Plumbing Trade Qualification is required.
• B-Gas Certification is required.
• Cross Connection Certification is required.
• A-Gas Certification is considered an asset.
• Mobile Aerial Platform and Fall Protection training are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance on commercial plumbing and heating equipment ( boilers, pumps, furnaces, etc.).
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair systems.
• Plan small re‑pipe, retrofit, and tenant improvement projects.
