AtkinsRéalis is hiring a Commercial Manager to join our growing team. This position is based in Toronto, Ontario. The Commercial Manager is responsible for overseeing all commercial and contractual aspects of a major infrastructure program. This includes managing contracts, ensuring compliance, handling procurement processes, and providing expert support to Program Leads.

Your role within the team:

  1. Provide subject matter expertise and oversight with respect to all commercial and contractual matters on the program.
  2. Provide support to the Program Leads in the execution of the contract including change control, performance management, and payment.
  3. Provide effective and timely management of procurements, contractors, consultants, constructors, and supply chain contracts.
  4. Implement and maintain accurate and timely management reporting from a commercial perspective and integrates with other aspects of program reporting.
  5. Manage effective communication of contract outputs, compliance conditions, and change management to key stakeholders, delivery team, and shared services leads.

The ideal candidate:

  1. Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial management roles within major infrastructure programs, airport experience a strong asset, including pre- and post-contract phases.
  2. A recognized degree in project management, quantity surveying, or a related field, along with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Expertise in contract negotiations, managing contract changes, and handling procurement and dispute resolution.
  4. Strong knowledge of building construction, quantity surveying, contracts, and program controls disciplines, with the ability to analyze performance metrics.
  5. Proven experience in managing and coordinating large groups of stakeholders, including workshop facilitation.
