Job summary

Western Financial Group is hiring a Commercial Insurance Broker in Winnipeg, MB. You will manage a national book of small business accounts as part of the WEB team, reporting to the Manager, Western Express Business.

You will handle daily tasks like client follow-ups, policy changes, invoicing, and certificate issuance while growing client relationships and pursuing sales opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum General Insurance Level 1 License; Level 2 to be acquired within 3 months.
• Commercial Lines experience is an asset.
• Experience achieving sales targets, individually and as a team.
• Strong sales and communication skills.
• Involvement in industry associations and community is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on client accounts to resolve outstanding activities.
• Build relationships with insurance providers and stay up to date on product knowledge.
• Review client data entries, invoicing and coverage selection for compliance.
• Complete certificate issuance for new business and renewal clients.
• Process changes to policies and endorsements; assist administration of the commercial book of business.
• Conduct sales calls and upsell products to grow the business.

Commercial Insurance Broker

As part of the Western Express Business (WEB) team, you will be part of a team of Commercial Insurance Advisors managing a national book of small business accounts. You will report to the Manager, Western Express Business and have the opportunity to offer this exceptional service for our clients.

Here is what a typical day looks like

• Follow up on all client accounts to resolve outstanding activities
• Remain up to date on product knowledge and build relationships with insurance providers
• Review client data entries, invoicing and coverage selection for compliance
• Complete certificate issuance for new business and renewal clients
• Process changes to insurance policies and endorsements
• Assist with the administration of the commercial book of business accurately and efficiently
• Conduct sales calls and up-sell products to new and existing clients to contribute to the growth of the business
• Continue self-development through industry and community involvement, training and other courses

The value you bring

• Minimum General Insurance Level 1 License, Level 2 must be acquired within 3 months
• Commercial Lines experience is an asset
• Experience achieving sales targets individually and as a team
• Well versed in navigating multiple computer programs as once
• Involvement in industry related associations and your community
• Preferred understanding of policy wordings/coverage’s
• Strong sales and communication skills
• Working experience in EPIC an asset
