Job summary

Western Financial Group is seeking a Commercial Insurance Broker to join the Western Express Business team, managing a national book of small business accounts in a remote role across Alberta or British Columbia. The position reports to the WEB Manager and offers a 37.5-hour workweek.

Ideal candidates have a General Insurance Level 1 license (Level 2 within 3 months) and demonstrated ability to meet sales targets while building strong insurer relationships. Experience with EPIC is an asset.

Qualifications

• Minimum General Insurance Level 1 License; Level 2 must be acquired within 3 months.
• Commercial Lines experience is an asset.
• Experience achieving sales targets individually and as a team.
• Strong sales and communication skills.
• Working experience in EPIC an asset.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on all client accounts to resolve outstanding activities.
• Remain up to date on product knowledge and build relationships with insurance providers.
• Review client data entries, invoicing and coverage selection for compliance.
• Complete certificate issuance for new business and renewal clients.
• Process changes to insurance policies and endorsements.
• Assist with the administration of the commercial book of business accurately and efficiently.
• Conduct sales calls and up-sell products to new and existing clients to contribute to the growth of the business.
• Continue self-development through industry and community involvement, training and other courses.

Commercial Insurance Broker

As part of the Western Express Business (WEB) team, you will be part of a team of Commercial Insurance Advisors managing a national book of small business accounts. You will report to the Manager, Western Express Business and have the opportunity to offer this exceptional service for our clients.

Here is what a typical day looks like
