Job summary

TandemLaunch is seeking a Commercial Director to join the founding team of an early-stage ag-tech startup. The role involves visiting greenhouses, piloting sensor integrations, and proving value to growers, with equity on offer and a cash stipend.

You’ll lead the commercial engine: identify target accounts, run on-site demos, establish pricing, and build a CRM-driven pipeline. You’ll work closely with the technical team toward real-world deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, agriculture/agronomy, engineering or related field.
• Experience selling or developing products in ag-tech, CEA, greenhouse tech or sensing/hardware.
• Comfort working cross-functionally with engineers and growers.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize target accounts (greenhouses, vertical farms, CEA integrators) and build a pipeline.
• Run on-site demos and field trials, install sensors, and demonstrate data to growers and agronomists.
• Represent the company at grower conferences and industry events to build visibility.
• Develop pricing, packaging and channel strategy; establish a CRM-driven pipeline from day one.
