Job description

StackAdapt is the leading technology company that empowers marketers to reach, engage, and convert audiences with precision. With 465 billion automated optimizations per second, the AI-powered StackAdapt Marketing Platform seamlessly connects brand and performance marketing to drive measurable results across the entire customer journey. The most forward-thinking marketers choose StackAdapt to orchestrate high-impact campaigns across programmatic advertising and marketing channels.

At StackAdapt we are building out a Commercial Finance team to partner closely with the revenue organisation as it continues to grow and execute on business strategy. This team will combine financial, commercial, and business acumen to help drive results that are profitable, scalable and deliver long-term value.

We are looking for a Commercial Finance Lead to join this team during this critical build stage and play a key role in shaping the commercial strategy behind StackAdapt’s growth journey. Reporting to the Director, Global Commercial Finance, this role will partner closely with the North American revenue teams. You will provide the financial rigor and insights necessary to review and make recommendations on commercial opportunities, analyze financial performance and support on strategic business cases across the revenue organisation.

StackAdapt is a Remote First company. We are open to candidates located anywhere in the United States or Canada for this position.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Deal Reviews & Governance: Support the revenue team with commercial negotiations through the review and approval of deals and initiatives. You will create financial models to assess proposals and pricing options, and collaborate x-functionally to ensure alignment across the business.
  • Commercial Business Partnering: Finance support to the divisional and regional revenue leaders, providing detailed financial analysis and insights into performance, profitability, planning and strategic decision‑making.
  • Cross‑Functional Coordination: Collaborate across the Finance (Accounting, FP&A, Credit/AR), Revenue Operations and Legal teams to ensure end‑to‑end alignment on commercial activity, financial results and forecasting.
  • Reporting Excellence: Develop and maintain tools to track revenue and profitability performance against expectations, identifying opportunities and providing actionable insights. From time to time, conduct in‑depth analysis, proactively identifying key trends, risks, and growth opportunities to guide leadership.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
  • Professional Experience: 5–6 years post‑professional qualification (CPA or equivalent) experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, or Business Analytics, ideally within a high‑growth or global technology environment.
  • Commercial Modeling: Proven ability to build complex financial models and extract actionable insights from large datasets.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and partner effectively with Sales leaders and cross‑functional teams.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills are required; Google Sheets know‑how is plus. AI skills and experience of utilising LLMs at work is a significant plus, alongside experience with data tools like Snowflake, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • System Knowledge: Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite) and commercial tools is an asset.
  • Organizational Agility: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast‑paced, global environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
