Unlimited Building Solutions is seeking a Commercial Estimator to lead cost analysis, tendering, and cost control for commercial projects in Canada. The role involves reading blueprints, negotiating bids, and coordinating with engineers, architects, and owners to ensure accurate estimates and value for money.

The successful candidate will manage multiple estimates, optimize tendering processes, and contribute to project forecasting and supplier management.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a Commercial Estimator within the construction industry.
• Ability to read blueprints and project specifications with precision.
• Strong cost calculation and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Cost analysis and estimation for commercial construction projects based on bids, drawings and specifications.
• Lead tendering and bidding processes, assess bids, and support contract negotiations.
• Establish and optimize tendering processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop cost monitoring and reporting systems; provide forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain and expand directory of trusted suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and stakeholders; conduct feasibility studies for cost changes.
• Assist in project coordination tasks and construction progress scheduling as needed.
